Kinda Therapeutic

This page was started by a Pakistani-American, who is currently in school to become a therapist. Her page is full of useful information from what anxiety can look like to advice on rising above toxic people. Definitely true to the pages name, this one is kinda therapeutic!

The Mindful Missy

This list wouldn’t be complete without our most favourite local mental health initiative! They describe themselves as a platform that explores different forms of self-healing, but really, they do so much more. A truly positive account, with some really stellar content, if you haven’t done so already, do check it out!

Wellness With Haya

Haya Malik is a certified Psychotherapist, and Corporate Trainer and Facilitator. Little known fact, she has been one of Mashion’s mental health experts! Now on her own page she is not only informative, but also so interactive. From Q&A’s to live sessions, here is a page that will not only uplift you, but also a therapist we can vouch for!

Millennial Therapist

This page has a dearth of information, and one that we follow religiously! It will make you question yourself, and think about things you may never have before. It will also give you the understanding to decipher certain situations in your life. Follow this page now, it’s been a one stop shop for us, and will be for you too.

Wellness First

We love seeing local therapists start platforms such as these to raise more awareness and really normalize taboos surrounding mental health. One such effort is this wonderful page by a Integrative and Sandplay Therapist! From coping with grief to caring for yourself in quarantine – Wellness First has you covered, and we suggest you head on over now and show them some support.

The Healing Breeze

This page belongs to our very own Shahrukh Shahbaz Malik, who is a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and currently writes Mashion’s Ask The Therapist columns. Not only is Shahrukh an excellent therapist, she is also extremely compassionate and her strength lies in explaining things in the most simplistic, easy-to-understand manner. We definitely recommend you follow this one!

Taskeen Pakistan

We recently discovered Taskeen Pakistan, and we have to say, it is one of the most brilliant things we’ve seen as of late. They raise awareness and promote mental health in different dialects in order to reach the masses. Their effort is commendable and we encourage you all to not only go through their page, but also share it with those who you think may benefit from it.

MG Beauty And Health

This page is run by a strong, beautiful, empowered woman (and Psychologist), Maheen Ghani, and the vibe on the page makes it even more evident! We love Maheen’s IGTV’s where she explains so simply, and so beautifully a lot of common issues we all deal with at some point in our lives. We’ve watched hours of footage on this page, and learnt so much. Do the same!

Umang Pakistan

Umang Pakistan is actually a free, mental health helpline run by clinical psychologists. But their page is just as amazing as their cause! Here you will find a plethora of information, and best of all, you will also have access to immediate help if you need it. Definitely check it out, and please recommend this to anyone and everyone who may need it!

Psych Central

This one is such a mood booster! An initiative started by a group of friends to target the stigma associated with mental health. They upload weekly podcasts where they aim to convey messages to each other in a informative way. In doing so, they create an environment where others feel safe to share stories about their mental health journey! We’re three podcasts in, and we’ve got to say so proud of these girls for starting an initiative like this at such a young age!

The Mental Health Therapists

This platform makes professional psychological help easily accessible, affordable and convenient in an effort to help as many people as possible and support them with their mental health struggles. This platform was recommended to us by one of our followers, who says: “They helped my friend free of cost. These people are doing an amazing job but are known by very few. They still give free professional therapy to people who cannot afford and the results are magical.” This is truly inspiring – kudos to the team behind this platform!
