In a study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, researchers gave lab coats to a group of people who were not doctors and asked them to perform a series of challenging tasks. The result showed that people in lab coats made fewer mistakes than those in regular clothes. For the second round, all the participants were given white coats but some were told that it was a doctor’s coat while others were told it was paint smocks. Again, those in doctor’s coats performed better.

The colours you wear truly affect your mind like no other! In 2013, a study published in the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology examined the effects of the colour red on athletes. Athletes of the same built, strength and age were asked to compete with each other in different situations. Half of them wore red and the other half wore blue. The study found that athletes in red had higher heart rates during the match and also lifted heavier weights than their blue opponents. This proves that the colour of your clothes influences your mind and physical ability.
