We had the opportunity to sit down with Ammara Khan herself, and ask her a few questions about her her latest Lawn Collection:
What was the idea behind the collection?
The collection is designed so our patrons can choose from a wide array of summer-perfect outfits, with our signature femininity and detailing. Keeping in mind the soaring temperatures, our designs are easy on the eyes and composed of high quality, breathable fabric perfectly suited for a warm Eid!
What makes this collection perfect for summer?
The premium quality lawn, the gentle colour palette, and the non-fussy design aesthetic make this the perfect collection for intense summer months.
How many designs are in this collection?
There are 12 exquisite designs, each different from the other in its own unique way. AMMARA KHAN’s signature femininity and elegance shines through each of the outfits thoughtfully created with love!
Ferozi With Pink Flowers
Bright and cheerful best describes this print which is covered in different and rich laces on the sleeves, neckline, slits and hemline. Tiny button detail finishes off the curved part of the neckline for further effect.
Lilac With Lace Trim
A beautiful lilac print is artfully composed and tailored using embroidered ‘chikan’ fabric side panels. The neckline, sleeves, and hemline are covered in delicate lace with a trio of gold buttons to add detail. A soft chiffon flounce is added to the sleeves, to add a gentle femininity.
Orange With Floral Print
A gentle floral print with the most beautiful details and a generous dose of different laces to cover the sides, hemline, sleeves, and neckline. The hemline has a double lace for further beautification. Perfect for a summer Eid!
Creamy Off White With Floral
A beautiful ivory base is covered in a stunning composition of hibiscus flowers and other blooms. Rich lace details adorn the sleeve, neckline and shirt hem with a metallic button on the neckline. Just a gorgeous play of colour and texture, perfect for Eid in the summertime.
Pistachio Green With A Dainty Floral Print
The best summer green with pops of dainty floral and lots of cute details. Cotton lace detailing on the sleeves and neckline with jeweled metallic buttons to decorate the neckline are used. The sleeves end in a ‘smocking’ detailed cuff and little tiny ‘dori buttons’ are hand sewn on the chaaks. Sure to be a favorite!
Sunshine Yellow With Lace
A bright sunshine yellow kaftan/tunic stitched with ‘chikan’ fabric side panels and a fringed effect lace on the front and back hemlines. Balloon sleeves are inset with a delicate lace and metallic gold buttons complete the neckline. This statement piece is perfect to wear to festivities all summer long.
Soft Peach With Summer Flowers
Soft pinky-beige colour with self patterned self-print and beautiful summer blooms. Two different laces cover the sleeves which also include a ‘smocking detailed cuff’. A thick lace decorates the shoulder area and fine lace on the neckline, ends in a metallic jeweled button. Chic and ever so pretty!
A Colourful, Geometric Print
A super fun and colorful print with a mix of geometric and Oriental elements and pops of black-coloured, high quality lace. The neckline is finished off with a hand-sewn trio of pearls. The sleeves have two different laces to add more detail. This tunic is unique and beautiful and can be accessorized to make it dressy for an Eid lunch!
Pastel Pink With Dainty Florals
A stunning pastel pink design with dainty florals scattered in an artistic composition. Two rich and delicate laces adorn the sleeves and hemline, while the neckline is decorated with metallic gold buttons and a fine lace. Powder Pink With Lace
