The Lux Style Awards 2020 are not taking place this year due to the COVID-19 crisis. Instead, LSA has decided to partner with Akhuwat Foundation and redirect their funds to them to support the impacted members of the entertainment and fashion industry.
Covid-19 has brought our entire planet to a screeching halt. All the events we had planned for 2020 have been postponed indefinitely or cancelled. From the Met Gala to the Cannes Film Festival, and recently even the Lux Style Awards… all our favourite fashion events have been cancelled. Luckily the things that are NOT cancelled are our hopes and dreams. If like celebrity stylist, Ania Fawad, you’re a fashion lover who is feeling blue about not getting to see your favourite stars on the red carpet this year, scroll down to see her wish-list of all the dreamy couture gowns she would have loved to to have styled on our leading ladies:
1. Mawra Hocane
I would like to see Mawra Hocane in something completely different from her usual girly style, like this gorgeous royal blue gown by Rami Al Ali. She would look magical in this.
2. Mansha Pasha
How stunning is this Elie Saab jumpsuit? I can totally see Mansha Pasha rocking it.
3. Mahira Khan
Mahira never fails to impress us with her red carpet looks. If anyone can pull off this stunning Ralph and Russo piece with ease, it’s Mahira Khan.
4. Maya Ali
Maya Ali is probably one of my most favourite people to style. I would love to see her in a colour that she’s not worn on the carpet before. This burnt orange Hamda Al Fahim gown will look amazing on her.
5. Urwa Hocane
This romantic, flowy, powder pink gown by Rami Al Ali is a perfect match for Urwa Hocane’s energy.
6. Sana Javed
I would love to see Sana Javed in something soft and feminine like this lilac Hamda Al Fahim gown.
7. Kubra Khan
This Zuhair Murad gown from his SS-20 Haute Couture collection has my heart. How stunning would Kubra Khan look wearing this?
8. Sadaf Kanwal
I’m still crushing over this white jumpsuit by Mehmet Korkmaz from his SS19 collection. Wouldn’t it be perfect on Sadaf Kanwal?
