We recently brought you a roundup of all the trends you’re going to be seeing this winter wedding season. But there’s something a bit more pressing than that. As autumn is fast approaching, our hunt for the season’s biggest trends is in full fervour. Our approach has always been to prepare our wardrobes beforehand, instead of waiting for the season to begin and then stocking up! Thus, being in the know of upcoming trends is crucial. Here’s a roundup of all the big trends that’ll soon be everywhere. Check them out!

1. Glossy Fabrics

This fall is going to be all about shining bright like a diamond. Glossy fabrics like silk, satin, and leather were spotted in leading designer shows. Versace gave us major Hollywood glamour vibes with neon satin dresses adorned with lace. Brands like Brandon Maxwell and Christopher Kane followed suit, with satin blazers and button downs, instantly making the trend more wearable!

2. Animal Prints

The animal print trend is still going strong and doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down! While leopard and cheetah print is still a big hit, spilling over from last year, big designers have now reached to rest of the animal kingdom as well! Zebra prints were big frontrunners at Coach, Alice + Olivia and 3.1 Phillip Lam. While full dresses may be a bit OTT, incorporating the trend through belts, bags and jackets makes it appropriate for work or a day out!

3. Orange & Lavender

While millennial pink was all the rage a few years ago, this season is all about millennial purple a.k.a lavender! It’s a colour that we’ve been seeing everywhere and fits right in with the pastel trend that’s been hitting Pakistani fashion. Another popular colour this fall is orange, it’s fresh and vibrant and the perfect mix of summer and fall! Balenciaga, Tom Ford and Rodarte all incorporated lavender in their Fall shows, while orange was a big hit with Oscar de la Renta, Christian Cowan and Caroline Herrera.

4. Asymmetrical Necklines

The world has been obsessed with cold-shoulder and off-shoulder tops, but the newest evolution of this trend is the asymmetrical neckline! The one-shoulder silhouette is super popular this season, with designers, such as Caroline Herrera and Burnett, incorporating intricate and sculptured details in their runway shows. It’s the perfect type of outfit for that ‘I-woke-up-like-this’ look!

5. Blazers

The 80’s are definitely back and this season is all about those structured shoulders and crisp blazers. Whether it’s suit jackets with belts, like Prada and Hermes, or boxy blazers, like Proenza Schouler, this is one staple that’s super wearable. You can wear it to work or even a night out and it’ll be bang on trend either way!
