Contrary to popular belief, girls with a slender frame have just as much of a tough time picking outfits as anyone else! From colours to fittings and prints, there’s a lot to consider before you don an outfit. We’re firm believers in wearing what you want and rocking it with confidence. But if you want to know what’s going to look most flattering on your body type, here are five styling tips that’ll help you slay your next look!
1. Opt For Horizontal Stripes
Rocking stripes is one of our favourite ways to stay on trend and horizontal stripes can make your slender frame seem curvier. Opt for thin stripes and pair them with a colour-blocked top or bottom for a balanced look.
2. Accessorize Your Waist
If you’ve got it, flaunt it! Girls with a slender frame have a smaller waist, so accentuate it with a skinny belt. A skinny belt is versatile enough for every body type but will especially look good on thin girls as it gives you a flattering hourglass figure by cinching your waist. And the best part is you can style it up or down – even with Eastern clothes! It’ll look good on anything.
3. Rock Bright Shades
Stock your wardrobe with bright colours and prints, as they’ll add volume to your body. Wearing a monochromatic outfit will make you seem even smaller than you. Go for colour-blocked outfits or wear different tones of the same shade to break up your look.
4. Avoid Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans can be very unflattering on thin girls. Instead of giving volume to your legs, it will only make them look like matchsticks – no one wants that! Opt for straight-cut, wide-legged pants or bell-bottoms, which will give some extra room to your legs while looking totally chic. Plus, you’re probably one of the few who can rock this trend effortlessly!
5. Add Peplums To Your Wardrobe
Peplum tops and shirts are still on trend and thank god, because this style is tailor made for your body type. Peplum tops are fitted at the waist, giving you an hourglass shape and making you look curvier. They also flare out from the waist done, giving you more volume. The fact that they’re really cute doesn’t hurt either!
