We all have a favourite Iftar dish – we get it, but sometimes the usual samosas and pakoras get monotonous. If you’re over the traditional Ramadan meals in your house, head down to your kitchen and try these easy recipes for a more exotic Iftari. They’re easy to make and even more delicious than they look. Whether you’re planning to eat clean this year or are too exhausted not to binge right around Maghreb time – there is a recipe in the video below that you’ll definitely love. Healthy or not, here we come!

BBQ Cheeseburger Onion Rings:

Step 1:
Mix together, 1 lb. minced meat, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ cup of Dipitt Smokey Barbeque Sauce

Step 2:
Cut up 1 block of cheddar cheese into cubes

Step 3:
Cut 1 large onion and separate them so that you’re only left with the rings

Step 4:
Coat it with flour, eggs and panko (bread crumbs)

Step 5:
Fry it until it is golden-brown

Dahi Toast with Chutney

Step 1: In a blender, blend together 1 handful of coriander, 1 green chilli (chopped), juice from ½ a lemon, a pinch of salt and a pinch of brown sugar

Step 2:
Finely chop ½ an onion, a handful of cilantro and 1 green chilli

Step 3:
Add chili powder (to taste) in a bowl of Greek yogurt and mix all the ingredients in together

Step 4:
Spread the yogurt mixture on top of a piece of toast (sourdough toast if available). Then put another slice of toast on top

Step 5:
Lightly toast the dahi toast it in a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil until it is golden brown

Step 6:

Swirl in Dipitt Tomato Ketchup for an extra kick
