Welcome to our favourite products! A monthly feature in which Mashion staffers discuss their favourite products — ones we’ve tried all month long, reviewed, treasured and kept at the top of our makeup bag (before we’ve gotten the chance to get sick of them and move on to other products – because we all know that happens). A new month calls for new products. In that spirit – let’s get shopping!
Primary Skin Glow Toner
“I’ve felt like toners have been too mild on my skin in the past and never really done anything, which is why I’ve never continued using them. I bought the Primary’s Glow Toner, because its ingredients (witch hazel, aloe) are great for acne and acne scars. I use it twice a day and it doesn’t dry out my skin, which is naturally oily, or irritate it. It made me break out a little initially, but my skin’s definitely cleared up since then. I pat it on with my hands in the morning, and use a cotton pad to rub it in at night. – Ibrahim Nadeem

Salina Cosmetics Glow Melt Cleansing Balm
“I’ve always wanted to get into double cleansing, but I didn’t know where to start. Now I remove my makeup with the Glow Melt cleansing balm, and follow up with a gentle cleanser. It literally removes all traces of makeup and keeps my skin super moisturized and clean. It’s become a mainstay in my skincare routine.” – Maheen Kazim

Botanical Wonders Vitamin E Oil
“I had cystic acne which gave me a lot of acne scars and I needed something natural to cure it. I bought this oil in an attempt to do that – I put a few drops on every night because it tends to get very greasy. I would say, it has helped clear up my skin a lot. It also gives a very nice glow.” – Almas Sheikh
Skin Type: Oily

Kerastase Resistance Mask for Damaged Hair
“It’s actually a protein treatment for damaged hair. You can use it at home or get a proper protein treatment done from a salon, im my opinion that’s always better. The procedure is longer and the steam really helps the treatment sink into your scalp. I feel we should all get it done minimum once every month.” – Maha Rizvi
Hair Type: Oily scalp

Essence I Love Extreme Mascara
“Hands down the best drugstore mascara I have ever used. It’s great at volumizing lashes and works like a champion throughout the day, doesn’t clump or flake at all.” – Samra Saleem
