By Every major event of the season is dutifully attended by society’s ‘it’ girls and doyennes. More than the trends we see on the runway, it’s the clothes these influencers wear that influence our shopping sprees for the next few months. Out of them all, there’s one design team in particular that never fails to make us catch our breath: the Sana Safinaz team. They’re a perfectly coifed walking couture shoot, and naturally, the flashy lights and photographs follow wherever they go. Their uniform has become a classic smokey eye with a bouncy blow dry. Their style itself can be a mix of ‘high-end and high-street’, but whether the outfit is a statement piece from Gucci or a whimsical, floral jora from a local atelier, they never seem to take a single misstep. Having access to every major design house locally, or the ability to purchase international ones isn’t enough. It takes real, natural born instinct to able to put together any ensemble.
